Tasting- "Fox Hollow Chardonnay"

Name: Fox Hollow Chardonnay
Variety:100% Chardonnay
Region: Napa & Sonoma, California
Country: USA
Year: 2009
Price: $5.95

Wine Review: Quite an interesting Chardonnay, in an era when so many are too sweet and extracted. There’s plenty of orange and apricot fruit flavor, but also a brilliant streak of minerality, like a lick of cold steel, and the overall taste is dry. Really easy to like, with lots of complexity to warrant repeated sipping.

My Review: Good. Smelled very sweet, with hints of apple and pear coming through rather strongly. The wine itself tasted very crisp/refreshing and went down smooth like water. It had an overbearing taste of apples. The finish almost gave off a rose or flower like taste, but it wasn't too strong. I did not taste this wine with food. Overall, I would consider buying this wine due to its above average taste and fair price point.
